Renewable Energy Solutions (Smart Solutions)

The framework is essentially a select list of suppliers, all with a proven and successful track record of supplying, installing and maintaining renewable energy solutions from which customers can set up supply arrangements via a further competition exercise.

Lot 1 Supply, Installation and Maintenance of Solar PV Systems and Associated Products

The supply, installation and/or maintenance of solar PV systems will be provided by MCS accredited suppliers with a strong track record who all provide a minimum of 10 years warranty on solar PV systems and a guarantee of at least 90% of the installed output after 10 years. Customers can choose from a ‘pick and mix’ of services (design input, supply, installation, maintenance and monitoring). Solar PV installations of all sizes – from small scale roof mounted applications to large scale ground-mounted projects are within the scope of the framework. Additional products and services may include battery energy storage, repairs, extended warranties, maintenance only provisions, power purchase arrangements (PPA) and monitoring.

Lot 2 Supply, Installation and Maintenance of Heat Generation Systems and Associated Products

The supply, installation and/or maintenance of heat generation systems will be provided by MCS accredited suppliers with a strong track record who all provide a minimum of 5 years warranty on all heat generation systems and a guarantee of at least 90% of the installed output after 10 years and no less than 80% of the installed output at 20 years. Customers can choose from a ‘pick and mix’ of services (design input, supply, installation, maintenance and monitoring). Heat generation systems can include, but is not limited to: air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, biomass boiler systems, solar thermal panels and solar thermal tubes. Additional products and services may include repairs, extended warranties, maintenance only provisions and monitoring.

Lot 3 Supply, Installation and Maintenance of Wind Turbine Systems and Associated Products

The supply, installation and/or maintenance of wind turbine systems will be provided by MCS accredited suppliers with a strong track record who all provide a minimum of 2 years warranty on wind turbine systems. Customers can choose from a ‘pick and mix’ of services (design input, supply, installation, maintenance and monitoring). Wind turbine installations of various sizes – from small roof mounted installations to larger stand-alone installations are within the scope of the framework. Additional products and services may include repairs, extended warranties, maintenance only provisions and monitoring.
